Population and Settlements

The first data on the population of the territory of the municipality of
Lipkovo date from the early 20th century and come from surveys of
travelers, and teachers and censuses conducted by the authorities of
the time. According to these data in 1900 lived a total of 14,678
inhabitants in 1913 there were 11,453 residents in 1921 12,234
residents in 1931 13,450 residents.

In 1948, after the Second World War the first official census was
made which showed that the area of today’s Municipality of Lipkovo
used to live 18,135 residents. In 1971 the population grew to 20,899
inhabitants already, in 1994, 22,861 residents.
In the period from 1948 to 1971 there is a rise of population from
2764 people or 13%. While in the next period from 1971 to 1994 the
growth of population had increased to 1962 inhabitants, or 8.5%.
However, in the period 1971 to 1994 in mountainous districts, the
population has droped dramatically. In Alashevci for 52.7%
Belanovce even 95.0%, 69.9% for Glaznja, Dumanovce for 98.6% of
Zlokukjane 63.4% 89.8% Izvor, Rnkovce 82.6% Runica 74.2% and
67.9% for the Summer. The population mostly moved in flatter rural settlements like the area
of Kumanovo and Skopje, as well as in Turkey. Only in the period
1953-1966, around 4450 people moved to Turkey.
In these flatter settlements, which are characterized by better living
conditions, the population has grown naturally and by mechanical
flow. The special population growth occurs In the period of 1971-
1994, in Otlja for 82.6%, 51% Lipkovo, Orizare 44.1%, 37.9%
Vaksinci, Slupcane 38.1% 30.1% Ropalce Lojane 27.5.

Population in Lipkovo Municipality

The average population density is 110 inhabitants per 1 km2. These
flatter settlements are greater in neighborhoods, unlike the hillymountainous
villages with larger blind, but fewer residents
(Dumanovce, Alashevce, Goshince, Strima, Rankovce etc.) Village
Strazha is the only displaced settlement which since 1978. In the area
of the municipality there are no urban neighborhoods.
Mountain period from 05.10.1999 to 05.10.2009 is applied like
urban plan of Lipkovo.
Administrative centre of the municipality is the village Lipkovo with
2644 inhabitants, which also gravitate to other rural settlements. The
largest settlement in the municipality is the village of Slupcane, with
3789 inhabitants.

Sipas përbërjes nacionale pjesa më të madhe të popullatës e përbëjnë shqiptarët 96,13% dhe sërbët 1,77%, ndërsa numri i bashkësive tjera të mbetura është i parëndësishëm. Në secilën nga gjithsej 3.599 familje në komunë jetojnë në mesatare prej 6,4 anëtarë. Meshkujtë janë me numër më të madhë nga femrat, me 52:48. Komuna e Likovës sipas regjistrimit e ka ketë structure të populates (në vitit 1991 regjistrimin e bojkotuan shqiptarët dhe nuk u regjistruan), burinet e të dhënave: Enti statistikor i RM.Komuna e Likovës sipas regjistrimit të vitit 2002 e ka ketë strukturë të popullatës:

a) Mosha dhe struktura gjinore e popullatës sipas regjistrimit të popullatës të RM prej vitit 2002

b) Gjithsej popullatë në komunën e Likovës sipas deklarimit nacional, sipas regjistrimit të popullatës të RM-së të vitit 2002

c) Struktura e popullatës sipas arsimimit në moshë deri 15 vite dhe më shumë vite, sipas regjistrimit të vitit 2002.

 d) Numri e personave të posalindur në komunën e Likovës

Numri i veturave aktive në komunën e Likovës për vitin 2007 deri më 01.02.2008 është 3404, kurse numri i automjeteve të regjistruar është 1877. Burimet e të dhënave: Enti shtetëror statistikor i RM-së dhe Ministria për Punë të Brendshme e RM-së –SPB Kumanovë.
